MOLDOVA GOES TO TECHCRUNCH DISRUPT SF 2018

The Moldovan Association of ICT Companies (ATIC) and Tekwill, in partnership with Moldovan Investment and Export Promotion Organization (MIEPO), and supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and by the Government of Sweden gathered a delegation of three Moldovan startups to represent Moldova at the TechCrunch Disrupt Conference in San Francisco, USA, which will take place between the 5th and 7th of September 2018.
Tekwill and ATIC facilitates traveling logistics and covers the exhibition costs for each startup at the event’s booth area.
The participants were carefully selected after the open call for participation which was launched in April 2018. The purpose of this travel is to create meaningful connections with relevant international investors and potential clients, attract funding and interest in the Moldovan entrepreneurial potential.
The selected startups are StockControl, Visely, and Gustos.Life.
StockControl is an innovative supply chain software provider focused on developing Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for small and medium sized businesses (SMB). StockControl was created with a vision to bring the power of enterprise WMS to an affordable Software as a Service (SaaS) solution, using flexible web technologies. Deployment option is cloud-based, which is nimble and day-one ready. The business intelligence module provides a set of tools to ease warehouse decision-making processes.
The eCommerce industry has the same recurring problem which online store owners face: customers that are navigating on the site are impatient. The average time spent on site decreases, and if the website does not offer relevant products in search results or relevant recommendations the customer navigates from the page. Keeping them on the site via relevant recommendations, collection pages and search was the problem this startup has set up to solve. That is how Visely (Personalized Product Recommendations app for Shopify marketplace) was born. Launched back in July 2017 and running on subscription-based model Visely successfully on-boarded 300+ SMB clients to date.
Gustos.Life‘s idea was born during our work for the Wine-Test System ,which is already in use in the Wine industry of Moldova . Searching for the global solutions, they found out that there is no easy way for the customer to buy and to manage the wine (make an investment , resell it or make it as a gift ), without store it by themselves or request specialized services.
The main solution is a mobile app that could facilitate such transactions and agreements by a simple tap or click.
Curenlly, Gustos.Life has an MVP at the testing stage in partnership with National OVW and wineries, among them is a winery with the largest wine Cellar in the world according to Guiness Book.
