DESCRIPTION:Industria tech continue să evolueze\, iar realitatea ne arată că aproape toate organizațiile\, indiferent de aria de activitate\, au conexiune cu acest domeniu. Iată de ce\, actualmente\, IT este una dintre cele mai ofertante sfere de activitate\, dacă judecăm după oportunitățile financiare și posibilitățile de creștere în carieră. Timp de mai multe decenii\, IT-ul a fost asociat cu științele exacte – matematică\, fizică\, informatică etc. – însă noua realitate îl plasează mai aproape de cei care au studiat și alte domenii. Diana Buciușcan este o tânără care până acum câțiva ani nu avea nicio tangență cu tehnologiile informaționale. Curiozitatea însă a determinat-o să exploreze domeniul\, iar astăzi muncește într-o companie internațională de profil. \n\n\n\n\n \n\n\nDiana este specialistă în prelucrarea și protecția datelor cu caracter personal. Timp de 6 ani\, a reușit să învețe de la zero acest domeniu\, să-l îndrăgească și să-și transforme profesia în vocație. Pentru că este un domeniu nou pe piață\, a fost nevoită să descopere multe de una singură\, să cerceteze mult și să învețe lucruri noi. \n  \nDiana Buciușcan\, Data Privacy Officer\, Moldcell: „Întâmplător am început să mă ocup de datele cu caracter personal\, pentru că în compania în care activez\, inițial\, am lucrat la Serviciul Clientelă. După ce am trecut în Departamentul de Securitate\, am început să aflu lucruri noi despre legislație și date cu caracter personal. Fiind un domeniu nou\, era dificil să întreb de cineva\, să mă ghideze cineva\, ce să fac și cum să fac. Atunci am încercat singură\, pas cu pas\, să intru în detalii și să realizez că\, de fapt\, acest domeniu este foarte interesant și îmi place. A început să mă fascineze\, a început să devină nu doar o profesie\, dar și o pasiune de a mea.” \nEa spune că segmentul în care își exercită munca în fiecare zi reprezintă o simbioză perfectă dintre IT și domeniul juridic. Iar pentru că ambele sunt domenii curioase\, pentru ea munca a devenit o plăcere\, nu o necesitate sau o obligație. Din aceste considerente\, Diana este convinsă că IT-ul poate fi o profesie pentru oricine este interesat de acest domeniu și vrea să contribuie la dezvoltarea industriei tehnologizate. \n\nDiana Buciușcan\, Data Privacy Officer\, Moldcell: „Un specialist bun în protecția datelor cu caracter personal trebuie să poată găsi balanța în controlul datelor personale\, să țină mâna pe puls în dezvoltarea tehnologică și să cunoască cum să protejeze aceste date. Este important să percepem că mediul online nu uită nimic. Orice accesare\, orice postare sau căutare pe Google lasă amprente digitale. Noi trebuie să decidem care este reputația noastră nu doar în viața de zi cu zi\, dar și în viața digitală vis-a-vis de datele pe care le lăsăm în mediul online.” \nDiana mai spune că pe piață se simte insuficiență de profesioniști în acest domeniu\, iar companiile IT din țară și de peste hotare sunt în căutare de oameni buni care să contribuie prin soluții inteligente la dezvoltarea societății și a comunității în care trăim. \nDiana Buciușcan\, Data Privacy Officer\, Moldcell: „La etapa actuală\, companiile pun accent pe prelucrarea datelor cu caracter personal și au nevoie de specialiști care știu cum corect să prelucreze aceste date\, astfel încât să se conformeze cerințelor legale. În același timp\, este important să înțelegem că reglementările legale sunt foarte drastice față de aceste companii\, respectiv\, este un domeniu care necesită un plus de efort și cunoștințe.” \nDiana Buciușcan a reușit să devină profesionistă în domeniul în care activează datorită faptului să i-a plăcut IT-ul\, a găsit timpul necesar pentru a se dedica acestui domeniu\, a exersat mult și a avut răbdare să pună în practică tot ce a învățat. \n  \nDESPRE CAMPANIA #ALEGCARIERAIT\nReportajul a fost realizat în cadrul Campaniei de promovare a Carierei IT\, implementată în cadrul Proiectului Tekwill de către Asociația Națională a Companiilor din Domeniul TIC (ATIC) cu susținerea Agenției Statelor Unite pentru Dezvoltare Internațională și a Suediei. \nStartul campaniei a fost dat în anul 2012\, având drept obiectiv să le comunice tinerilor care sunt oportunitățile și avantajele pe care le generează activitatea în domeniul IT. Campania încurajează tinerii să afle mai multe informații despre profesiile și oportunitățile din domeniul IT\, demonstrând stereotipurile existente și promovând istoriile unor profesioniști care inspiră. În același timp\, acțiunile se axează pe ideea că la temelia succesului și a performanței stau munca\, atitudinea conștiincioasă\, dedicarea și dorința de a te dezvolta încontinuu. Istoriile de succes insistă pe setarea corectă a motivațiilor: decizia de a opta pentru o carieră în IT trebuie să fie una responsabilă\, bazată pe avantajele\, dar și rigorile acestui domeniu.

DESCRIPTION:OPORTUNITĂȚI DE DEZVOLTARE ÎN REGIUNILE BĂLȚI ȘI CAHUL – BURSE PENTRU PROGRAME DE INSTRUIRE ÎN DOMENIUL IT \nCu scopul extinderii oportunităților de dezvoltare în regiuni și crearea premiselor pentru conectarea talentului și potențialului capitalului uman cu posibilitățile oferite de companiile IT locale\, Proiectul ”Tekwill” în parteneriat cu proiectul „Optim” lansează Programul de Burse în IT. \nInițiativa este realizată în regiunile Bălți și Cahul\, cu susținerea Biroului de cooperare al Elveției în cadrul Proiectului ”Optim – Oportunități prin Tehnologii și Inovație in Moldova‘’\, implementat de Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation în parteneriat cu Camera de Comerț și Industrie a Republicii Moldova\, precum și cu sprijinul Agenției Statelor Unite pentru Dezvoltare și Suediei în cadrul Proiectului ”Tekwill”. \nDezvoltarea web presupune construirea\, crearea și mentenanța site-urilor web. În sens larg\, include aspectele de design\, publicare a conținutului\, programare si managementul datelor. Termenul dezvoltator web se referă\, de regulă\, la aspectele non-design\, de scriere a markup-ului și codului necesar funcționării unui site. Web developerii pot fi specializați în front-end\, back-end și full-stack developeri. \nProgramul oferă instruire în domeniul dezvoltare web și se va desfășura în perioada octombrie – decembrie 2020. Cursurile vor oferi instruiri în domeniile Frontend Development si Backend Development\, la alegere\, si vor avea durata de 3 luni. Activitatile se vor desfășura în regim online la Bălți și fizic la Colegiului “Iulia Hașdeu” din Cahul și vor fi livrate de mentori cu experiență\, conform unor programe de instruire special concepute și ajustate rigorilor curente ale industriei. \nÎn vederea asigurării performanțelor maxime în cadrul Programului și confirmării angajamentului participanților\, bursele vor acoperi 70% din costul instruirii\, beneficiarii urmând să vină cu o contribuție simbolică în sumă de 1500 MDL. \nCRITERIILE DE ELIGIBILITATE: \n\nVârsta – începând cu 18 ani;\nStudii liceale/medii speciale finisate;\nIntenția fermă de a activa în domeniul IT.\n\nÎNREGISTRARE ÎN CADRUL PROGRAMULUI: https://tekwill.typeform.com/to/ypc412qf \nTermenul limită pentru înregistrare este 25 octombrie\, ora 16.00. DESCRIPTION:Tehnologiile informaționale sunt de nelipsit în toate domeniile\, iar complexitatea lor crește zilnic. De aceea specialiștii IT continuă să fie la mare căutare. Salariile competitive\, programul flexibil\, posibilitatea de a lucra din orice colț al lumii\, dar și oportunitățile de dezvoltare transformă IT-ul într-un job de vis. Mai ales că oricine poate avea o carieră în domeniu\, indiferent de vârstă\, gen\, studii sau experiență. Tot de ce ai nevoie este dorința constantă de a te dezvolta și a găsi soluții. \n  \n\n\n\n  \nÎn căutarea unor soluții a fost și Alexandru Bezarov\, când la doar 16 ani și-a dorit să impresioneze o fată și a început să-și caute un loc de muncă. Prietenii l-au direcționat către un furnizor\, care l-a angajat pentru a instala echipamente de rețea. Interesul sporit însă l-a stimulat să meargă mai departe și să cunoască modul în care funcționează acestea. Iar acum nu doar muncește în domeniu\, dar este și profesor Tekwill. \nAlexandru Bezarov\, Network Engineer\, InStat Sports Co: “Sunt inginer de rețea și predau rețelistica și securitatea cibernetică. Știu cu ce se confruntă oamenii\, pentru că sunt autodidact și am învățat independent. Prin urmare\, când predau\, încerc să explic totul astfel\, încât să nu fie neclarități. Încerc să le arăt că nu există magie\, totul este clar și transparent. Doar așa poți soluționa probleme în viața reală.” \nAlexandru consideră că o bază solidă este punctul de pornire în acest domeniu și te ajută să ai cunoștințele structurate. Iar asta face parcursul mai ușor și evoluția mai sigură. Întrucât s-a confruntat în propria experiență cu anumite lacune\, sfatul său pentru orice începător este să-și consolideze baza în IT cu ajutorul unui profesor și atunci va obține mai ușor un loc de muncă și va avansa mai rapid. \nAlexandru Bezarov\, Network Engineer\, InStat Sports Co: “Vin la compania noastră persoane care au cunoștințe superficiale. Le oferim resurse\, link-uri YouTube\, pentru a studia timp de o lună și a reveni la interviu. Dacă învață ceva în această lună atunci persoana este capabilă să se concentreze\, iar asta este principala abilitate necesară pentru a obține un loc de muncă. Nu contează ceea ce știi\, ci ceea ce poți învăța într-un timp scurt. Dacă ești gata să înveți independent\, atunci vei obține orice job\, indiferent de mărimea companiei.” \nTehnologiile informaționale sunt un domeniu care se dezvoltă cu viteza luminii\, de aceea industria este într-o continuă creștere. Iar orice persoană care alege o asemenea carieră devine parte a unei evoluții atât personale\, cât și globale. DESCRIPTION:  \nAstăzi\, machine learning lucrează peste tot în jurul nostru. Atunci când interacționăm cu băncile\, cumpărăm online sau utilizăm mediile de socializare\, algoritmii de machine learning intră în joc pentru a ne crea o experiență eficientă\, lină și sigură. \n  \nÎn ciuda numeroaselor sale medii de aplicabilitate\, procesul de construire și aplicare a modelelor de Machile Learning poate fi grupat într-o serie de procese care sunt întâlnite în proiectele de Data Science. Vom discuta despre executarea proceselor utilizând frameworkului OSEMN care acoperă fiecare etapă a ciclului de viață al proiectului de știință a datelor. Procesul de implementare a unui model de Machine Learning este un proces complex și poate părea chiar o cutie neagră în care introduci datele și obții modelul gata. SUMMARY:ANTREPRENORII DIN MOLDOVA ÎN CĂUTAREA FINANȚATORILOR LA CHIȘINĂU DEMO DAY
DESCRIPTION:Antreprenorii sunt cei care au curajul să adopte inovații și să-și folosească în mod inteligent ideile\, pentru a construi afaceri cu impact local\, regional sau internațional. Iată de ce Proiectul TEKWILL – partener de încredere pentru antreprenorii din Moldova – dezvoltă o serie de acțiuni și evenimente de susținere a startup-urilor locale\, prin oferirea accesului la programe de educație și expertiză profesională\, finanțare\, asistență pentru pilotarea ideilor de afaceri\, conectarea la piețele globale și cooperarea cu programe similare. Un astfel de eveniment este și „Chișinău Demo Day” – o platformă specială prin care fondatorii startup-urilor sunt conectați în mod direct cu potențialii investitori – organizat în cadrul Startup Moldova „Creative Growth”. Acesta s-a desfășurat online\, iar peste 17 mii de internauți au urmărit live prestația antreprenorilor. În deschiderea evenimentului a participat șeful Misiunii USAID Moldova\, care\, alături de Suedia\, este unul dintre cei mai importanți susținători ai dezvoltării antreprenoriatului din țara noastră. \n \nScott Hocklander\, șeful Misiunii USAID: „Demo Day este despre creativitate\, despre conectarea oamenilor talentați\, despre parteneriate și idei. Mă bucură faptul că dezvoltarea tehnologiei progresează în Moldova și se extinde în diverse sfere ale business-ului. La acest eveniment\, care aduce împreună membrii comunității de startup-uri\, investitori și consumatori\, am cunoscut echipe creative și cu idei inovatoare. Prin schimbul de experiență\, feedback\, idei de investiții și conexiuni de expertiză și experiență\, construim împreună un ecosistem sănătos și vibrant al startup-urilor locale. Pe termen lung\, aceasta presupune o economie prosperă\, mai multe locuri de muncă și un viitor progresist pentru Moldova.” \n \nAna Chirița\, directoarea Proiectului TEKWILL: „Chișinău Demo Day pune în lumina reflectoarelor startup-urile din Moldova\, pentru ca acestea să poată primi feedback real din partea investitorilor profesioniști. Ne dorim să oferim o experiență remarcabilă și suport tehnologic\, dar și să contribuim la crearea unor conexiuni valoroase pentru antreprenori. În ultimii 5 ani\, Tekwill\, cu ajutorul USAID și al Suediei\, a susținut mai mult de 600 de startup-uri și echipe\, iar beneficiarii programelor noastre dedicate antreprenoriatului sunt cca 25 de mii de persoane. În acest an am lansat Programul național pentru susținerea antreprenoriatului IT din țară „Startup Moldova”\, prin care ne dorim să creăm și mai multe oportunități pentru antreprenori\, precum: acces la programe educaționale\, infrastructură\, consultanță\, mentorat\, oportunități de conectare la evenimente și competiții internaționale\, atragerea surselor de finanțare etc.” \n \nChișinău Demo Day– ediție specială dedicată investitorilor \nEdiția curentă a fost specială și a fost creată pentru a oferi oportunități de conectare la finanțare pentru startup-urile locale. Astfel\, cei patru investitori europeni participanți la eveniment vin din Marea Britanie\, Polonia și Cehia\, și au aflat direct din prima sursă despre produsele și tehnologiile pe care le dezvoltă antreprenorii noștri. 7 startup-uri din Moldova au avut posibilitatea să-și prezinte produsele membrilor comunității și potențialilor clienți\, să colecteze feedback și sugestii\, dar și să stabilească conexiuni cu alți membrii comunității autohtone de startup-uri. Echipele care caută finanțare și au participat la Chișinău Demo Day sunt: \n\nFagura – marketplace de credite din Moldova;\nVoteMeApp – aplicație mobilă pentru votul online în cadrul organizațiilor profesionale;\nAvogadro One Ltd. – platformă care funcționează în baza inteligenței artificiale pentru procesarea informațiilor;\nMedicalTourism.Review – platformă de soluții pentru persoanele care au nevoie să călătorească peste hotare sau alte regiuni cu scopul de a beneficia de servicii medicale;\nBabysitting Platform – platformă care conectează bonele de încredere cu familiile din cartier pentru servicii de babysitting spontane și pe termen scurt;\nGustos.Life – platformă destinată degustărilor virtuale de vin;\nAVO – aplicație mobilă pentru eficientizarea costurilor în roaming.\n\n \nLecții de învățat pentru fondatorii startup-urilor din Moldova \nPotrivit finanțatorilor\, pentru a putea convinge un investitor să le finanțeze afacerea\, startup-uriledin Moldova trebuie să țină cont de mai multe aspecte: \n\nDomeniul – investitorii se orientează către domenii cu potențial rapid de accelerare a businessului și le evită pe cele care sunt instabile;\nEchipa – investitorii acordă atenție echipei și fondatorilor afacerii\, întrucât urmăresc dacă sunt capabili să realizeze planul de afaceri;\nProfitul și potențialul de creștere – antreprenorii trebuie să le demonstreze finanțatorilor că banii solicitați se vor întoarce cu profit. În plus\, ei examinează și dacă afacerile au potențial de creștere\, pentru ca pe viitor să poată obține profit mai mare cu suma investițiilor inițiale;\nAnaliza de piață – investitorii sunt mai dispuși să aloce finanțe companiilor care deja desfășoară activități\, au un prototip de produs/serviciu și știu cu exactitate pe ce piață le vor comercializa. Prin cunoașterea acestor aspecte\, investitorii pot ajuta startup-ul să ocupe un segment din piața-țintă.\nPlanul de afaceri și pitch-ul – fondatorul trebuie să își facă un plan de afaceri complex\, pe care să fie capabil să-l explice în câteva cuvinte. El trebuie să explice exact necesitățile financiare și utilizarea fondurilor.\n\nProiectul TEKWILL – Revoluția începe! \n„Chișinău Demo Day” este parte a Programului național „Startup Moldova”\, desfășurat în cadrul Proiectului TEKWILL\, implementat de Asociația Națională a Companiilor din Domeniul TIC\, cu susținerea financiară a Agenției Statelor Unite pentru Dezvoltare Internațională și a Suediei. „Tekwill” a fost creat în anul 2017 ca Centru de Excelență al sectorului ICT din Moldova\, având drept scop principal alinierea domeniului la cerințele curente ale pieței. Acum\, pe lângă programele universitare\, pe piață sunt numeroase oferte de cursuri online sau internship-uri\, care deschid ușile oricărui doritor spre o carieră în IT. \n  \n\n  \nDorința de a evolua a fost și forța care a propulsat-o pe Maria Țurcan într-una dintre cele mai mari companii IT. Tânăra și-a făcut studiile în cibernetică și informatică economică\, după ce și-a dat seama\, încă de pe băncile școlii\, că informatica este disciplina ei preferată. Asta a impulsionat-o să-și aleagă o facultate în domeniu și să se dezvolte constant. \nMaria Țurcan\, Senior QA Engineer\, Endava: „La școală am fost unul dintre elevii care la informatică era permanent la tablă. În acele momente am înțeles că domeniul IT îmi va plăcea și mă va interesa în viitor. La facultate însă eram o grupă foarte mică\, pentru că domeniul nu era popular pe-atunci. Era ceva nou\, de aceea și aplicaseră mai multe fete.” \nMânuind mouse-ul și tastatura cu îndemânare și inteligență\, Maria demonstrează că „profesia viitorului” aparține bărbaților și femeilor în egală măsură. În calitate de Senior QA Engineer\, tânăra are un program plin\, dar variat și interactiv. Iar printre responsabilitățile sale se numără planificarea activităților pentru echipa pe care o conduce\, verificarea calității soft-urilor pe care le livrează și discuțiile cu clienții. \nMaria Țurcan\, Senior QA Engineer\, Endava: „O zi tipică începe cu o cafea\, cu citirea e-mail-urilor și continuă cu activitățile necesare în acea zi\, dar și cu ședințe în care discutăm cu echipa ce este bine\, ce este mai puțin bine sau dacă cineva s-a blocat și are nevoie de ajutor. Ziua trece foarte repede\, permanent suntem în mișcare.” \nUn alt avantaj al domeniul este că oricine poate ajunge în industria TIC\, indiferent dacă are experiență sau nu. Important este să aibă o mare dorință de dezvoltare. Iar în tandem cu un curs în domeniu\, aceasta poate propulsa orice entuziast direct în inima unei companii internaționale. \nMaria Țurcan\, Senior QA Engineer\, Endava: „IT-ul este un domeniu în care oricine ar putea să-și încerce forțele\, iar faptul că trebuie să cunoști foarte multă programare este un mit. Un pas înainte pentru a începe o carieră în IT sunt cursurile online sau offline. Dacă la cursuri îți dai seama că este o industrie în care într-adevăr vrei să te dezvolți\, poți aplica ulterior la intership-uri\, care oferă posibilități de angajare.” \nRecomandarea Mariei Țurcan pentru începători este să pornească la drum cu dorința de a crește\, de a învăța și de a se automotiva\, iar eforturile le vor fi răsplătite neîntârziat. \nDESPRE CAMPANIA #ALEGCARIERAIT\nReportajul a fost realizat în cadrul Campaniei de promovare a Carierei IT\, implementată în cadrul Proiectului Tekwill de către Asociația Națională a Companiilor din Domeniul TIC (ATIC) cu susținerea Agenției Statelor Unite pentru Dezvoltare Internațională și a Suediei. \nStartul campaniei a fost dat în anul 2012\, având drept obiectiv să le comunice tinerilor care sunt oportunitățile și avantajele pe care le generează activitatea în domeniul IT. Campania încurajează tinerii să afle mai multe informații despre profesiile și oportunitățile din domeniul IT\, demonstrând stereotipurile existente și promovând istoriile unor profesioniști care inspiră. În același timp\, acțiunile se axează pe ideea că la temelia succesului și a performanței stau munca\, atitudinea conștiincioasă\, dedicarea și dorința de a te dezvolta încontinuu. Istoriile de succes insistă pe setarea corectă a motivațiilor: decizia de a opta pentru o carieră în IT trebuie să fie una responsabilă\, bazată pe avantajele\, dar și rigorile acestui domeniu.

DESCRIPTION:În ultimii ani sectorul TIC din Moldova a înregistrat progrese remarcabile. Tehnologiile inteligente au intrat tot mai mult în mediul de business și în viața de zi cu zi\, iar companiile private s-au aflat în plină ascensiune. Rezultatele au depășit prognozele Strategiei de dezvoltare a industriei tehnologiei informației și a ecosistemului pentru inovare digitală pe anii 2018-2023. Într-un singur an cifra de afaceri a sectorului a crescut până la 380 mil. $\, ceea ce reprezintă 70% din estimările pentru 5 ani. Evoluții considerabile au fost înregistrate și la capitolul atragerii capitalului uman\, numărul total de profesioniști IT majorându-se cu cca 38%. Acest număr este cu 13% mai mare decât prognozele totale pentru următorii 5 ani. \n \nTrendul ascendent este confirmat și de indicatorii/statisticile Biroului Național de Statistică (BNS)\, care arată că în perioada 2015-2019 industria IT și-a triplat veniturile din vânzări\, iar împreună cu sectorul telecomunicațiilor i-au revenit 7\,1% din PIB. Succesul sectorului poate fi cuantificat și în numărul locurilor de muncă create – peste 29.000 de persoane activează în domeniul cu cele mai mari salarii de pe piață. \nCifre reprezentative pentru sectorul TIC\, 2019: \n\nVenituri din vânzări anuale – 6\,8 miliarde MDL\nContribuție la PIB-ul național – 7\,1%\nVolumul de exporturi TIC –peste 5 miliarde MDL\nVolumul de investiții în servicii de informatizare – 2\,6 miliarde MDL\nAngajați în sectorul TIC– 29.600 persoane\nCompanii TIC pe piață – 2300.\n\n\n \nProdusele și serviciile IT\, exportate în peste 30 de țări \nDatele BNS arată că în perioada de referință industria IT a înregistrat venituri de cca 6\,8 miliarde de lei\, iar volumul exporturilor de produse și servicii a depășit cifra de 5 miliarde de lei. Cele 2300 de companii aflate pe piața din Moldova își exportă produse și servicii IT în peste 30 de țări ale lumii. Țara noastră este considerată o destinație atractivă din punct de vedere tehnologic\, atât pentru companiile mici\, cât și pentru cele cu potențial investițional major. Astfel\, în anul 2019 numărul companiilor TIC în Moldova s-a majorat cu cca 35%. De asemenea\, piața IT autohtonă oferă condiții favorabile pentru atragerea investitorilor străini și face pași importanți pentru a se alătura statelor din prima ligă a atractivității pe plan regional. Printre avantajele competitive ale țării noastre se numără eliminarea unor bariere administrative pentru profesioniștii străini calificați în IT\, facilități fiscale pentru angajații din sector\, impozitul unic de 7% din volumul vânzărilor\, dar și crearea și lansarea infrastructurii fizice a parcurilor IT. Peste 600 de companii din 136 de țări își desfășoară activitatea în IT Park\, iar 45% din ele au fost înregistrate pe parcursulanului trecut. Companiile private au angajat peste 10 mii de persoane\, având o medie de salarizare de cca 29 mii de lei lunar\, în condițiile regimului fiscal al IT Park. Cifra totală de afaceri a companiilor rezidente\, potrivit statisticilor IT Park\, este de 3\,7 miliarde MDL. Capitala țării rămâne a fi destinația favorită a companiilor din domeniu. În acest an\, Chișinăul a fost desemnat drept orașul anului din Europa de Sud-Est pentru susținerea și dezvoltarea sectorului IT. Capitala a câștigat premiul „Emerging city of the year in SEE”\, devansând orașe precum Tbilisi și Sofia\, în cadrul unuia dintre cele mai importante evenimente din domeniu – „CEE Business Services Summit and Awards 2020”\, desfășurat la Varșovia\, Polonia. \n\nSuport internațional pentru dezvoltarea sectorului TIC \nCreșterea competitivității și dezvoltarea progresistă a sectorului în ultimii ani a avut loc și cu susținerea constantă a finanțatorilor externi. Datorită potențialului de dezvoltare al sectorului\, partenerii de dezvoltare au acordat constantasistență tehnică și financiară\, prin susținerea sectorului privat șia antreprenoriatului\, crearea parcurilor IT și atragerea investitorilor. Printre susținătorii de top ai dezvoltării domeniului IT în țara noastră este și Agenția Statelor Unite pentru Dezvoltare Internațională (USAID) – primul donator care a recunoscut potențialul industriei IT din Moldova și oferă asistență din anul 2005. De atunci\, exporturile serviciilor și produselor IT ale Moldovei s-au majorat de 40 de ori. Și Suedia este în top 5 donatori externi pentru Republica Moldova\, iar IT-ul este unul dintre domeniile pe care le susține. Doar în ultimii ani\, USAID și Suedia\, au investit cca 8\,9 mil. $\, în cadrul Proiectului TEKWILL\, implementat de Asociația Națională a Companiilor din Domeniul TIC. Tekwill și ATIC au mai atras investiții private și publice de peste 4 mil. $\, pentru a contribui la dezvoltarea sectorului IT din Moldova. Astfel\, peste 60 de mii de persoane au beneficiat de programele educaționale și de antreprenoriat ale Proiectului TEKWILL\, iar 217.562 persoane au devenit beneficiari ai proiectelor desfășurate în parteneriat cu alte entități. „Tekwill” a fost creat în anul 2017 ca Centru de Excelență al sectorului ICT din Moldova\, având drept scop principal alinierea domeniului la cerințele curente ale pieței. Acum ai posibilitatea să accesezi gratuit unul dintre cele mai recunoscute programe internaționale de studii în domeniul IT\, elaborate de Oracle University. Inițiativa\, ce are ca scop formarea forței de muncă necesară domeniului este implementată prin intermediul universităților din Republica Moldova și a fost lansată cu sprijinul financiar al USAID și Suediei\, în cadrul Proiectului TEKWILL. Astfel\, fiecare instituție de învățământ superior poate alege fie să integreze cursurile în curricula de bază\, fie să le predea ca discipline opționale\, astfel încât toți studenții să beneficieze de acest program. \nCe vei studia? \nVei avea ocazia să studiezi limbajele de programare Java sau SQL Fundamentals și să accesezi resurse educaționale recunoscute la nivel global. Recunoașterea internațională a studiilor mele mă face mai curajoasă și mai flexibilă provocărilor.” \nAdrian Filip\, absolvent al programului Java: „Eu am avut întotdeauna interes față de tehnologiile software\, în mod special de programarea acestora. Bursa Oracle mi-a oferit exact ce căutam: dezvoltarea cunoștințelor\, social networking și studiul unui limbaj nou – Java. La lecții\, tehnicile de abordare ale subiectelor au fost însoțite de exemple reale ale experților în domeniu\, care sunt la curent cu ultimele tendințe. Am rămas plăcut surprins de faptul că\, chiar dacă aveam puține cunoștințe în acest domeniu\, am reușit să înțeleg foarte bine cursul\, iar acest lucru demonstrează că oricine poate învăța ceva nou\, dacă asta își dorește. Cursul se numește Java OCA\, iar asta presupune că informația obținută are un spectru mult mai larg\, accentul nu a fost doar pe învățarea limbajului\, dar și a abilităților\, cunoștințelor pe care trebuie să le posede un adevărat inginer software.” \nProiectul este parte a programului Tekwill Ambassadors Program\, ediția „Scholarships”\, o inițiativă prin care programele și oportunitățile de dezvoltare vin mai aproape de toți cei interesați și le oferă susținerea dar și resursele necesare pentru a atinge performanța în domeniul Tehnologiei Informației și Comunicațiilor. DESCRIPTION:Reprezentanții IMM-urilor din Moldova vor învăța să utilizeze soluții digitale\, instrumente de marketing\, vânzări și promovare online\, pentru a-și face vizibilă afacerea în mediul digital și a-și continua activitatea pe timp de pandemie. \nÎn acest sens\, Proiectul TEKWILL în parteneriat ODIMM lansează „Startup Academy”\, ediție dedicată afacerilor mici și mijlocii – o serie de cursuri în domenii practice\, care vor oferi IMM-urilor cunoștințele necesare. Timp de câteva luni\, peste 300 de IMM-uri vor beneficia de expertiză directă pentru problemele cu care se confruntă în procesul de migrare a afacerii în online\, de la mentori cu experiență în marketing\, comunicare\, IT\, logistică\, resurse umane etc. Scopul inițiativei este de a forma antreprenorii\, astfel încât la finalul cursului să înțeleagă mecanismele care stau la baza creșterii unei afaceri de succes online. \nAna Chirița\, directoarea Proiectului TEKWILL: „Necesitatea unui program integrat de cursuri utile pe domeniul digital ne-a fost semnalată de către reprezentanții IMM-urilor într-un studiu realizat în cadrul proiectului Startup Moldova „Digital upgrade” – program prin care ne dorim să contribuim la digitalizarea afacerilor din Moldova. Circa 90% dintre participanți au menționat că au nevoie de expertiză și cunoștințe pentru a deveni competitivi și nu au capacitatea de a construi afaceri durabile online. Cu aceste îndemnuri vin profesioniștii IT către viitorii și tinerii specialiști din domeniu. Chiar dacă este o profesie care necesită multă muncă\, implicare și continuu „update” la cunoștințe\, industria TIC este în capul listei sectoarelor celor mai performante și solicitate profesii de pe piață. Mai mult\, traiectoria spre IT poate fi schimbată și fiecare poate alege să studieze domeniul și să devină specialist calificat\, la orice vârstă. Și asta pentru că soluțiile digitale sunt prezente în toate sferele de activitate: marketing\, design vestimentar\, industria vinului etc. \nIrina Guțu este IT Project Manager într-o companie\, care dezvoltă soluții IT la nivel internațional. Acest domeniu l-a descoperit la facultate\, dar a conștientizat mai multe despre industria tehnologiilor informaționale abia după ce a obținut primul job. În calitate de manager de proiect\, Irina gestionează echipe și are grijă ca toate activitățile să fie realizate în timp util\, iar soluțiile livrate spre clienți. Pentru că\, de cele mai dese ori\, administrează mai multe proiecte în același timp\, și-a dezvoltat și abilitățile de „multitasking”. \nIrina Guțu\, IT Project Manager Orange Systems: „Am studiat Inginerie și Management în Telecomunicații. Conștient am ales această profesie\, pentru că este o combinație dintre domeniul tehnic\, economic și management. Toți cei care își aleg această direcție\, trebuie să fie pregătiți pentru dificultăți\, în practică este total diferit de ceea ce învățăm la universitate. Plus la asta\, este un domeniu care conține un volum complex de informații\, care se actualizează permanent și care trebuie asimilat. Pentru început\, experiența primului job a fost una complicată. Asta pentru că primele zile de muncă sunt întotdeauna stresante: nu cunoști suficient de bine specificul companiei\, procesele de muncă\, dar și fluxul mare de informații care trebuie înțeles. Ulterior\, vine perioada de integrare\, atunci când devii parte componentă a echipei și începi alături de ei să obții succes.” \nIrina recomandă tinerilor care sunt interesați de IT să studieze și să dezvolte o carieră în această sferă\, pentru că domeniul tehnologiilor informaționale oferă foarte multe oportunități: salarii competente\, posibilități de internshipuri\, traininguri\, workshop-uri\, cursuri de dezvoltare profesională\, etc. \nIrina Guțu\, IT Project Manager Orange Systems: „Fiind studentă\, nu aveam mari așteptări atunci când m-am angajat. Nu aveam experiență\, tot ce îmi doream era să încep a pune în practică cunoștințele de care dispun. După puțin timp\, mi-am dat seama că am făcut o alegere corectă atunci când am ales IT-ul\, îmi place nespus de mult acest domeniu și îmi ador munca. În project management este foarte multă comunicare\, analiză\, inclusiv de business\, documentare\, informație tehnică și multă muncă în echipă.” \nIrina spune că domeniul tehnologiilor informaționale continuă să se dezvolte\, iar în prezent este o profesie solicitată pe piață. Mai mult\, dacă acum câțiva ani\, IT-ul era mai puțin cunoscut și existau mai puține resurse pentru studiere\, în prezent\, datorită mediului digital\, suntem la un clic distanță de o bibliotecă pentru educație globală. \n  \n \nIrina Guțu\, IT Project Manager Orange Systems: „Nu mai avem dreptul să spunem că profesorul nu mi-a predat\, nu am fost la această lecție\, nu am avut manuale etc. Suntem apți și avem la dispoziție o mulțime de resurse pentru studii. Tot ce trebuie să facem este să avem curaj: pentru a alege\, pentru a studia și pentru a munci!” \n  \nDESPRE CAMPANIA #ALEGCARIERAIT\nReportajul a fost realizat în cadrul Campaniei de promovare a Carierei IT\, implementată în cadrul Proiectului Tekwill de către Asociația Națională a Companiilor din Domeniul TIC (ATIC) cu susținerea Agenției Statelor Unite pentru Dezvoltare Internațională și a Suediei. \nStartul campaniei a fost dat în anul 2012\, având drept obiectiv să le comunice tinerilor care sunt oportunitățile și avantajele pe care le generează activitatea în domeniul IT. Campania încurajează tinerii să afle mai multe informații despre profesiile și oportunitățile din domeniul IT\, demonstrând stereotipurile existente și promovând istoriile unor profesioniști care inspiră. În același timp\, acțiunile se axează pe ideea că la temelia succesului și a performanței stau munca\, atitudinea conștiincioasă\, dedicarea și dorința de a te dezvolta încontinuu. Istoriile de succes insistă pe setarea corectă a motivațiilor: decizia de a opta pentru o carieră în IT trebuie să fie una responsabilă\, bazată pe avantajele\, dar și rigorile acestui domeniu.

SUMMARY:IT COMMUNITY DEVELOPS USEFUL DIGITAL SOLUTIONS FOR SOCIETY'S PROGRESS
DESCRIPTION:Ten companies in the IT sector are receiving financial support in order to develop digital solutions necessary for our country.Selected through an open callunder the “Private Sector Engagement Initiatives” of the TEKWILL project\, private institutions have committed to generating useful solutions that contribute to the training of specialists in the field\, accelerate the development of regional entrepreneurship\, improve the quality of public services\, connecting the IT field with other non-IT sectors in the country\, facilitating business activity\, or just simplifying the lives of citizens. These solutions would be implemented by the end of 2021 with the total development costs valuing at $585\,000 and 40% being covered by the TEKWILL project with the support of its development partners USAID and Sweden. \nWhat problems will these digital solutions solve? \n1. Software for business simulators – involves the creation of software simulators and promoting their widespread use in the educational process of universities in the country. According to the project team\, the simulators will help students practice decision-making skills in terms of a virtual environment similar to the real-world market. In total\, about 2\,000 students and about 300 teachers will benefit from the project. \n2.TenderWell – is a collaborative tool to improve project acquisition capabilities. An innovative customer relationship management software that allows companies to organize their work when bidding and improve their current customer relationships. The app will allow organizations to manage bidding opportunities\, track them faster\, and plan strategies to position themselves ahead of competitors. Based on the project\, ten specialists working in the field will be trained and another ten free copies of software will be offered to the companies in which it operates. \n3. GreenBill – is a digital application that makes the process of paying regular invoices convenient with electronic\, paperless invoices for all parties involved including service providers\, payment operators\, and payers. The digital solution is especially useful for the financial and managerial records of an institution. It incorporates a range of payment services for all utilities from notifications to payments and settlements. Also\, according to the company\, changing the procedures for processing information (from analog to digital) will involve redirecting training and professional needs of employees. This would produce a change in the needed professional skills of employees and increase the interest in the IT field of young candidates for positions in various fields. \n4. StudiiEdu – an online education platform for students and teachers\, but also for corporate education. The platform will simplify the operational process of online course management and will turn course authors into facilitators. In this way\, through online courses\, private companies will be able to train employees more quickly in the training process\, international organizations or local associations that have already created courses could provide access to a large number of users\, and educational institutions will be able to add online courses for combined education. \n5. MoldovaDiasporaPayments – the project aims to provide the Moldovan diaspora with the possibility to pay its bills in the country where they are located. The application allows the client to receive and pay invoices online fromtheir personal office on mobile or web platforms. The service will be promoted in the countries with the largest number of Moldovan citizens abroad. In the first year after its launch\, developers estimate that about 12\,000 people will benefit from the initiative. \n6. Scoring for business model – provides an innovative way to estimate the degree of risk of a loaneven if the company has no activity report or balance sheet and has only one day since its official registration. The developer will use technological tools to generate the company’s risk rating not only based on the company’s financial figures\, but also on the basis of each founder\, its ability to pay\, credit history\, and the correlation of this data to model the risk of the newly founded company. The solution is aimed at young entrepreneurs in the country. \n7. Learning portal for Moldovan citizens”Public digital services” – a study portal for the country’s citizens. The e-learning platform aims to develop the professional skills of users in various fields. Whether they want to progress professionally\, change careers\, develop new skills\, or simply learn something new\, the “Public Digital Services” platform will be the starting point. In the first year after its launch\, the platform will contain ten courses\, which will benefit about 8\,000 users. \n8. Digital training centers for women – provides for the creation of three training centers in different regions of the country. Nine NGO facilitators will train 500 women\, aged between 18 and 45\, in the efficient use of information technologies to launch and promote their own business. The initiative will motivate and mobilize women to strengthen their sense of self-respect and to play an important role in their community or professional life. \n9. Liquid Democracy Voting System – provides for the development of a voting system based on Blockchain technology. The beneficiaries of the project are professional associations\, political parties\, local and regional authorities\, and NGOs. According to the initiative\, this new form of collective decision-making will give voters full control over the decision-making process. Voters will be able to vote directly on certain issues or may delegate their votes to selected representatives who will vote on behalf of voters. \n10. Monitoring tool based on IoT- aims to implement a monitoring tool based on IoTtechnology\, which allows remote reception of information about the status of the technological process and alerts. Based on the information received\, the customer can remotely make changes to the process. This will improvelabour productivity and reduce production costs and losses. The beneficiaries are agricultural entrepreneurs. \n“Private Sector Engagement Initiative” \nThe “Private Sector Engagement Initiative” is being developed as part of the TEKWILL Project\, implemented by the National Association of ICT Companies with the financial support of the United States Agency for International Development and Sweden. Tekwill was created in 2017 as the Center of Excellence of the ICT sector in Moldova\, with the main goal of aligning the field with the requirements of the 21st century. Aiming to contribute to increasing the competitiveness of the IT industry and other strategic sectors of the economy\, the center has expanded its current areas of activity\, becoming in 2019 a complex project at national level. The basic objective of the TEKWILL Project\, as a platform dedicated to the progress of the IT sector\, is to ensure a major impact on the economic development of the country by improving the entrepreneurial and educational capacities of society members\, but also the research and development potential of higher education institutions\, in line with the demand on the IT market.

SUMMARY:TENDERWELL – O SOLUȚIE DIGITALĂ PENTRU LICITAȚIILE PUBLICE\, DEZVOLTATĂ CU SUSȚINEREA PROIECTULUI TEKWILL
DESCRIPTION:Proiectul TEKWILL continuă să susțină digitalizarea societății investind în inițiativele sectorului privat pentru dezvoltarea antreprenoriatului IT\, dar și a diminuării deficitului forței de muncă din domeniul tehnologiilor informaționale. În acest sens\, în cadrul „Inițiativei de încurajare a implicării sectorului privat”\, 10 companii cu profil IT din țară beneficiază de asistență financiară (după principiul de co-finanțare) pentru dezvoltarea unor soluții digitale utile. Una dintre companiile participante la proiect este „iSIGHTPartners”\, care dezvoltă un instrument pentru asistența companiilor în licitații publice. \nTenderWell– o soluție pentru licitațiile publice \nTenderWell.App este o aplicație de agregare a datelor pentru licitații\, care oferă informații de afaceri celor implicați nemijlocit în sectoarele de dezvoltare. Aplicația va ajuta clienții să urmărească mai multe oferte în același timp\, devenind astfel mai eficienți în procesul de licitație. Pentru că\, de cele mai multe ori\, companiile ofertante se confruntă cu dificultăți atunci când se pregătesc pentru o achiziție\, soluția va permite simplificarea acestui proces dar și urmărirea etapelor licitației. \nLuc Vocks\, director general „iSIGHTPartners”: „Versiunea actuală pe care o avem este bună în ceea ce privește înregistrarea datelor ce sunt esențiale pentru o companie în timpul licitației. Ne propunem să creăm un instrument care să ajute concomitent mai multe persoane să lucreze împreună. În cazul licitațiilor mici\, o persoană poate gestiona tot procesul\, dar în cazul licitațiilor mai mari\, acest lucru este imposibil. Pregătirea și desfășurarea achizițiilor mari se efectuează cu ajutorul unei echipe: un redactor principal\, proiectant\, specialist tehnic\, cercetător\, specialist care caută dovezi\, etc. Noi venim cu soluția: un instrument care permite cooperarea și conlucrarea dintre toți acești actori implicați în proces.” \nÎn același timp\, aplicația va reduce la jumătate timpul necesar pentru pregătirea unei tender internațional\, va oferi asistență importantă companiilor licitante\, care le va permite să fie la curent cu oportunitățile actuale de achiziții. Aceasta va permite și reducerea costurilor de pregătire a unei oferte și va maximiza șansele de câștig de la 5% la 25%\, estimează dezvoltatorii acesteia. Soluția urmează a fi lansată la finele anului curent. \nAlte inițiative private pentru susținerea digitalizării \nPornind de la necesitățile societății\, companiile IT dezvoltă soluții digitale din diverse domenii. Unele dintre ele s-au axat pe trecerea obișnuită de achitare a facturilor la modul electronic\, dezvoltarea simulatoarelor software pentru instituțiile școlare din regiuni\, dar și un instrument de monitorizare în baza tehnologiei loT pentru recepționarea de la distanță a informațiilor despre procese tehnologice și alerte. Alte soluții care au obținut finanțare în cadrul proiectului sunt centrate pe atragerea achitarea facturilor online ale cetățenilor Republicii Moldova de către cei aflați în diasporă\, dezvoltarea unei platforme de educație școlară online\, dar și un proiect dedicat exclusiv integrării sociale și profesionale a femeilor.Suportul financiar pentru implementarea soluțiilor inovative este de până la 25.000 de dolari și acoperă maxim 50% din costul întreg al programului. \nAna Chirița\, directoarea proiectului TEKWILL: „Susținerea inițiativelor private ne va ajuta să atingem obiectivul proiectului – să pregătim profesioniști în domeniu\, să creștem calitatea capitalului uman\, care să facă față cu succes provocărilor sectorului. Ne propunem să diminuăm această criză acută de forță de muncă din sectorul IT calificată pe domenii specifice. Prin suportul acordat sectorului privat\, dezvoltăm practic o platformă de creare a noi locuri de muncă și de pregătire a profesioniștilor. DESCRIPTION:Representatives of Moldovan small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) will learn to use digital solutions\, marketing tools\, online promotion and sales in order to make their business visible in the digital environment and to continue their activity during a pandemic. In this regard\, the TEKWILL Project launched “Startup Academy”\, a series of courses in practical fields which will provide the necessary knowledge dedicated to SMEs. For several months over 200 SMEs will benefit from direct expertise on the problems they face in the process of migrating their online business from mentors with experience in marketing\, communication\, IT\, logistics\, and human resources. \nThe aim of the initiative is to train entrepreneurs so that at the end of the course they understand the mechanisms underlying the growth of a successful online business. The courses are organized within the TEKWILL project with the support of USAID and Sweden\, together with the National Association of ICT Companies\, Moldova IT Park\, UNDP\, and ODIMM. \n“Startup Academy” offers complex training sessions for entrepreneurs \nAna Chirița\, director of the TEKWILL project stated: “The need for an integrated program of useful courses in the digital field was signaled to us by the representatives of SMEs in a study carried out within the“Digital Upgrade”project – a program through which we want to contribute to digitalization of Moldovan business. Practically 90% of the participants mentioned that they need the expertise and knowledge necessary to become competitive and do not have the ability to build sustainable online businesses. Responding to their expectations\, we are launching this complex program of courses in which entrepreneurs will benefit from expertise starting with the principles of launching an online business\, continuing with the identification of customer needs and establishing links with other development partners.” \nThe program is structured in two levels: intermediate and advanced. In the first stage entrepreneurs will learn about the importance of physical presence on online platforms and how to adapt a business to be as close as possible to customers. Among the areas to be studied at the intermediate level are: \n• The basics of digital marketing. During the course\, the representatives of small and medium business will learn to make their business known in the online environment\, to find promotion opportunities on different platforms and to plan a long-term strategy to stay online.\n• Content development. To remain close to customers\, an online business must maintain communication with them. Entrepreneurs will benefit from expertise in developing quality content and segmenting customers through the content they post.\n• Identifying online partners. The course trainers will help entrepreneurs find sources where they can create partnerships (food-non-food companies\, international networks\, B2B platforms\, etc.) to sell their products and services. From the experience of mentors\, they will learn the basics in creating relationships with partners and will be able to find out the benefits of a marketplace as a tool and market with processes ready for online commerce.\n• Online security of the company. The development of a company also requires technological maintenance. Thus\, entrepreneurs will receive advice on the importance of a specialized team to maintain the technical processes behind the business and to remedy any problems that may arise. \nIn the second stage\, more advanced courses will provide direct mentoring on the activities behind e-commerce and maintaining an online store for the SME representatives. At this level\, courses will teach: \n• Creating an online store. Before setting up the online store\, entrepreneurs need to plan and research every tool that would facilitate business development. From the showcase\, the products\, the categories and to the ordering of the site\, all the processes require careful planning. IT specialists will also provide solutions about the platforms that host and allow the adaptation of a site according to the needs of the business.\n• Process automation. Because going online also involves automating processes that were previously done manually\, the course also includes mentoring in the automation of accounting\, customer work processes\, storage and others according to the identified need. Entrepreneurs will receive advice on existing automation solutions on the market\, digital service providers and differences between process maintenance systems.\n• Financial operations. In the case of electronic stores\, all financial transactions carried out online also require the integration of digital payment systems. Entrepreneurs will be introduced to working with existing online payment systems in the Republic of Moldova\, how they can be successfully integrated\, who are the providers and how they can implement the solutions for integrating electronic payment systems.\n• Legal issues. Because e-commerce has changed the concept of the economy so far\, the transmission of data remotely and the use of all electronic means for an online transaction includes several obligations for entrepreneurs. During the course\, trainers will also address topics related to legal issues regarding e-commerce\, personal data\, transaction security and electronic signature. \nTo date\, about 472 teams and 680 companies have benefited from Tekwill’s support in growing and improving their business. It is entrepreneurs who have the courage to adopt innovations and use their ideas intelligently on the basis of which they build businesses with local\, regional impact\, and – why not? – international. “Upcelerator” is a unique program to accelerate technology businesses\, and by supporting such programs\, we offer startups access to an entire ecosystem which includes business founders\, investors\, consultants and the best mentors around the world.” \nEverything you need to know about “Upcelerator” \nAt the initial stage 75 applications with business ideas were submitted to the program.In order to select the best concepts\, various factors were taken into account including the innovative component and the ability to execute the idea\, the problem it solves\, and also the landmarks of business development. Forty-one teams from five countries were selected to participate in the program\, 27 of them are currently active. For four months\, entrepreneurs will benefit from the support of over 30 international and local mentors\, will have approximately 500 hours of mentoring\, and will perform 200 tasks. At the end of September\, the founders with the best ideas will have the opportunity to receive investments worth $10\,000 each for business development. \nThe business ideas of the participants in the program are from various fields such as agriculture\, medicine\, education\, and finance. \n1. Solutions in the field of agriculture: a platform where landowners will be able to rent and lend agricultural land\, orchards\, vineyards\, etc .; a digital solution for the world’s fruit and vegetable producers to clean and pack their products in an environmentally friendly way\, thus maximizing the possibilities for marketing and expanding revenues; and a platform to support sustainable aquatic biodiversity. \n4. Financial / legal solutions: application that allows smart crediting of money for a circle of trust: friends\, relatives\, family; platform for business consulting services – business analysis of the supply chain\, market research and automation of robotic processes (RPA); an online lending bank without intermediaries\, an online application that will allow users easy and cheap access to the legal procedure for collecting debts. \n5. DESCRIPTION:Potential Moldovan entrepreneurs are encouraged to develop their business ideas to progress and even to expand abroad. The TEKWILL project is a reliable partner for entrepreneurs in the country as it continues to support intensive startup programs in Moldova. It provides financial investments\, access to an extensive business network\, complex expertise in business growth\, mentoring\, and consulting in various directions for long-term promotion and development. The XY Accelerator is a project created to encourage young people to grow their businesses from scratch and become competitive in large markets and is supported by TEKWILL along with the financial support of its partners\, USAID and Sweden. \nXY Accelerator – investing in business ideas with development potential \nIn the current edition of the program five startups were selected in order to help them accelerate. During the program\, startups benefited from an office space\, trainings\, and technical workshops.The intention was for them to obtain all the necessary information and excel\, applying practical knowledge such as: market analysis\, customer profile identification\, business model definition\, financial analysis and so on.\nThe XY Accelerator delivered 1\,280 hours of mentoring over four months and the beneficiaries were able to access investments worth about $ 8\,000. The TEKWILL project supported the delivery of the mentoring and consulting program under the accelerator\, and financial support in cash was provided by local investors. So far\, two startups have benefited from funding and full support as their founders were able to change the specifics of their products\, adapting them to current market needsin a short period of time. \n \nThe first company is Woop.ly\, represented by founder\, AlexandrBudeac. Woop is a disinfection box with UVC light on the inside used for disinfecting personal items such as a phone\, wallet\, keys\, gloves\, masks\, etc. The project team is also currently working on the development of a prototype of reusable masks which have an innovative design. \nThe second company is Teleportravel represented by founder\, Stas Balaur and co-founder\, Ilia Guțu. Teleportravel is an online guide integrated in Messenger which offers access to tours in the least explored areas of Moldova. It is also a platform where travelers can create their own tours and even sell them. Teleportravel is an alternative that helps enthusiasts and travelers discover new places\, less visited by tourists\, and at the same time spend less.\n \nAlso\, within the XY Accelerator program\, three other companies will continue to develop their business. These startups include: \n• A1\, a local marketplace that offers consumers online access to various products. The founder of the platform is Iulian Alexa. \n• Sneakers Wash\, an innovative shoe cleaner. Recently\, the company’s founders Marcel Gușan and AlexandruSecara decided that in addition to providing dry cleaning services\, they should also sell footwear.\n• Set.Up.Vibe\, an offline playlist service\, created based on human circadian rhythms. Impactul tehnologiilor asupra industriilor conexe este tot mai vizibil\, deoarece sunt integrate în aproape toate domeniile de activitate și continuă să simplifice viețile oamenilor.\n\nIT-ul – o șansă unică de a pune umărul la schimbările din comunitate \nNicolae Sîrbu este Software Developer și de mai mulți ani dezvoltă și perfecționează soluții IT\, stabilește baza tehnică și asigură calitate produselor pe care le creează. Cu lumea codurilor și a algoritmilor a făcut cunoștință în anii de gimnaziu\, când încerca să testeze diferite sisteme de operare – o activitate care îi părea interactivă și provocatoare. În cadrul lecțiilor\, acesta predă tinerilor limbajul de programare Java\, explicându-le specificul din perspectiva unui angajat care zilnic scrie cod\, cu exemple practice\, concepte de programare\, dar și sfaturi utile. \nNicolae Sîrbu\, Software Developer: „A fi profesor este o activitate suficient de complicată\, trebuie să fii pregătit\, să poți să oferi răspunsuri complete la întrebările discipolilor. Pe lângă faptul că mentoratul mă ajută să mă dezvolt profesional\, contribui la lărgirea cunoștințelor în rândul colegilor mei care au ales să urmeze o carieră în tehnologii informaționale. Mă bucur mult când studenții îmi pun întrebări\, asta mă face să cred că domeniul IT va înregistra progrese odată cu ei”. \nNicolae Sîrbu are și câteva recomandări pentru cei care își doresc o carieră în IT: \n„1. Pentru a munci în acest domeniu\, trebuie să îți placă ceea ce faci\, să fii proactiv și pregătit să înveți individual. \n2. Trebuie să ai răbdare\, pentru că nu întotdeauna o soluție pentru o problemă poate fi implementată din prima.\n3. Pentru a îndeplini o sarcină\, trebuie să înțelegi specificul și modul în care soluția ar putea fi implementată. \n4. Sectorul IT este foarte dezvoltat și fiecare poate găsi o nișă mai apropiată. \n5. It provides research and identification of problems in strategic sectors and aims to provide real IT solutions for their development\, which could subsequently have a major impact on independent business. These are solutions to automate processes\, improve business tools\, facilitate the use of e-commerce and sales tools\, etc.\, to be managed by industry associations. \nAna Chirița\, TEKWILL Project Director stated: “IT innovations have become an absolute necessity to overcome current challenges. That is why in the first stage of the program we encouraged cross-sectoral collaboration and collected as much data as possible about the difficulties of the industries and about the potential IT solutions existing on the market. Within the joint working groups\, the solutions\, services\, and products needed by the sectors were analyzed and proposed for funding. Some of them are to be developed in the next stage\, as not all proposals meet the current expectations of certain sectors. We will further develop specific entrepreneurship education programs combined with elements of information technology\, so that future beneficiaries can fully explore IT solutions. That’s because at Startup Moldova we grow ideas that change the world.” \nSectors of the economy that will benefit from”Digital IMPACT” solutions \nCurrently ten sectoral solutions involving information technologies have been identifiedwithin Moldova Startup “Digital IMPACT”. Some of them are dedicated to various branches of agriculture and the food industry: \n• Beekeeping – digital platform for preventing bee poisoning and facilitating communication between authorities\, beekeepers\, and farmers;\n• Fruit export – a platform for the consolidated promotional offers of local fruit producers for foreign markets;\n• Online trade in agricultural products – an integrated “marketplace”platform for marketing products and services to farmers and local companies;\n• Wine industry –a platform dedicated to guided wine tastings;\n• Educational platforms dedicated to specific sectors to help entrepreneurs at a distance.\nIn the context of the pandemic\, more and more companies in theconsumer-oriented industries felt the need to digitize the activity of their companies. Within the program a solution will be generated for the representatives of the private sector that will allow them to use the virtual prototypes of the product models. This will allow them to use e-commerce\, make presales\, and become more eco-friendly by not using physical samples.\nTourism continues to be one of the most affected sectors due to the restrictions imposed by the global pandemic. DESCRIPTION:216 profesori din toată țara\, participă în aceste zile la un program complex de dezvoltare profesională continuă\, pe parcursul căruia suntinstruiți să integreze unele metodologii inovative de predare și învățare în clasă. Inițiativa face parte din proiectul pilot „Tekwill în fiecare școală” – cel mai complex program de cursuri extracurriculare\, ce urmează a fi studiate ca și discipline opționale în școli\, din 1 septembrie. În cadrul programului\, au fost dezvoltate mai multe cursuri online cu conținut interactiv\, iar peste 18.500 de elevi ce participă la proiectul pilot vor obține cunoștințe în domenii inovative. \nDin 2021\, „Tekwill în fiecare școală” va fi accesibil tuturor instituțiilor de învățământ secundar general din Republica Moldova. Startul programului de formare a profesorilor a fost dat în cadrul unui eveniment online la care au participat autoritățile de profil din țară\, partenerii internaționali de dezvoltare\, implementatorii și beneficiarii finali ai proiectului. \nScott Hocklander\, șeful misiunii USAID în Moldova: „USAID este foarte mândru de rezultatele obținute de ATIC și Tekwill în cadrul proiectelor desfășurate cu susținerea noastră. Ne dorim de mai mult timp ca programele de succes ale Tekwill să fie accesibile și locuitorilor din regiunile Republicii Moldova\, iar „Tekwill în fiecare școală” este un pas important în acest sens. Le mulțumesc foarte mult partenerilor de dezvoltare pentru susținerea de care ne bucurăm în acest proiect\, dar și cadrelor didactice care susțin demersul MECC de a îmbunătăți calitatea educației.” \n \n  \nCrearea cursurilor „Tekwill în fiecare școală” a fost posibilă prin mobilizarea eforturilor financiare ale sectorului privat și ale cetățenilor din țară și diasporă (în cadrul campaniei de crowdfunding TwentyTu\, desfășurată în anul 2018)\, precum și ale partenerilor de dezvoltare externi – PNUD Moldova\, USAID\, Suedia. Proiectul se bucură și de suportul Ministerului Educației\, Culturii și Cercetării. \n  \n \nFormarea profesorilor – printre prioritățile „Tekwill în fiecare școală” \nCadrele didactice care participă în programul de formare vin din 77 de școli din 28 de raioane ale țării. Pentru o perioadă de 5 săptămâni\, profesorii vor beneficia de instruiri online cu privire la conținutul cursurilor\, utilizarea platformei și noile metodologii de predare și învățare online.Toate aceste practici\, urmează să le aplice în predarea disciplinelor opționale în cadrul orelor. Pedagogii vor beneficia și de expertiza unui mentor pe tot parcursul anului de studiu\, în eventualitatea apariției unor neclarități în predarea disciplinelor viitorului. \n \nAna Chirița\, directoarea proiectului TEKWILL: „Profesorii sunt un element-cheie în instruirea elevilor online. Iată de ce\, atunci când am creat proiectul\, am decis să le oferim mai multe oportunități de formare\, pentru a abilita cadrele didactice în predarea acestor discipline. Datele unui studiu realizat în cadrul proiectului\, ne-au arătat că printre cele mai mari necesități pe care le au cadrele didactice pentru a-și face munca cu profesionalism este lipsa asistenței tehnice\, suportul metodologic și expertiza necesară. Astfel\, după cursurile de formare\, vom elabora un ghid explicativ pentru profesori\, suport pe care vor găsi toate informațiile necesare cu referire la proiect și vom oferi\, inclusiv\, acces la echipamentele necesare desfășurării programelor propuse.” \nCursurile „Tekwill în fiecare școală” \n„Tekwill în fiecare școală” își propune transformarea educației din RM\, atât prin dezvoltarea de conținut digital interactiv\, cât și prin introducerea în procesul de predare și învățare din cadrul instituțiilor de învățământ a noilor metodologii: învățarea mixtă („blended learning”) și clasa inversată („flipped classroom”). Cursurile vor putea fi studiate în mod individual sau ghidate de un profesor în timpul orelor. Lecțiile sunt dedicate elevilor cu vârste cuprinse între 13-19 ani. Fiecare curs cuprinde 34 de lecții\, ceea ce va permite studierea acestora în decursul a unui an academic\, câte o lecție pe săptămână. These are the main objectives of the Memorandum of Understanding “Development of digital skills\, IT and STEM throughout life” signed by the TEKWILL Project and the National Association of ICT Companies in Moldova with the Ministry of Education\, Culture and Research (MECR) and the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure (MEI) of the Republic of Moldova. \nThe partnership aims to: \n\nincrease students’ interest and motivation for education by applying interactive methods and the use of modern ICT equipment;\ndevelop ICT skills throughout life\, at all levels of education;\nprovide education in the professions of the future for every student in the Republic of Moldova;\ndevelop the necessary digital teaching support and to equip the schools of the Republic of Moldova with technical equipment;\nsupport the training of teachers in the adoption and promotion of information technologies.\n\nThe text of the document is part of the activities provided by the National Development Strategy of the Information Society “Digital Moldova 2020”\, and the memorandum was signed during an event held at the ICT Center of Excellence “Tekwill”. \nAuthorities’ commitments for the development of IT and STEM skills \nAccording to the Memorandum of Understanding\, the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure of the Republic of Moldova is committed to contributing to the implementation of activities by providing assistance for the introduction of ICT solutions in education\, by promoting dialogue with local and foreign industry\, development partners and of foreign donors. \nSergiu Raileanu\, Minister of Economy and Infrastructure: “Technology and innovation represent the future. These are terms that have penetrated the most diverse areas of society\, from business to sports\, from education and health to a wide range of services. It is well known that skilled labour is the key element for business creation and development\, and Moldovan IT companies face a shortage of skilled staff to meet the demands and challenges of the IT business environment. In this sense\, innovative but fast-impact educational solutions are needed\, which address both the quality of human capital and the entrepreneurial ecosystem\, as challenges for digital innovation and successful IT businesses.” \nThe Ministry of Education\, Culture and Research has announced that the process of reforming the curriculum has already been initiated and dedicated IT and engineering profiles for high school are to be introduced. Also\, several school subjects were reconceptualized and a new module was introduced – “Digital Education” but also other ICT- basedoptional courses. Minister Igor Sharov mentioned that today the foundations have been laid for a partnership that complements the previous actions of the Ministry of Education\, Culture and Research. “The digital transformation of education is not only a priority\, but an indisputable need of the Republic of Moldova to increase students’ interest and motivation for learning\, by increasing the quality and learning outcomes of children and young people\, following the application of interactive learning methods and modern ICT equipment”\, The official underlined. \nMore over\, MECR is committed to developing technical skills among teachers by developing a course to increase digital skills for teachers in general education. DESCRIPTION:TEKWILL is a responsible social actor\, which in addition to the development of educational and entrepreneurial projects\, promotes social inclusion\, gender equality\, community development and environmental sustainability. Following the international trends\, in recent years\, TEKWILL has become the business card of the Moldovan IT sector by implementing innovative programs and concepts\, but also the connection point of communities that think progressively and demonstrate daily passion\, responsibility and involvement. \nEncouraging a healthy lifestyle and protecting the environment \nEfficient lighting system. By adopting innovative concepts for environmental protection\, Tekwill has become a trendsetter in the Republic of Moldova. Thus\, the lighting system of the center is based entirely on LEDs\, which allows the use of electricity efficiently in events\, study programs or in the daily work of the residents of the hub. \nElectric car charging stations. The installation of electric charging stations was the next step towards transforming the TEKWILL project into an ecological space and popularizing a healthy lifestyle among the technological community. Thus\, Tekwill supports eco-driving and contributes to a cleaner and more balanced environment. \nGym for residents. To promote a healthy lifestyle\, “Tekwill” has set up a gym equipped with the necessary equipment and which can be used by the residents of the center. The facility is constantly visited by about 60% of the residents on campus. \nBicycle rental. In partnership with Velopoint\, a local initiative to provide cycle renting and cycling services\, TEKWILL has developed a policy focused on a healthy lifestyle. This is because in a lucrative environment based on open communication and equal opportunities\, people are able to develop their talent and progress. \nInitiatives to support girls and women in IT. The TEKWILL project continues to focus its actions on enabling more girls and women to take STEM courses\, benefit from quality tech programs and choose an IT career. The purpose of the programs is to provide them with equal opportunities regardless of gender and the opportunity to obtain well-paid jobs\, for financial independence and equal contribution to the country’s economic growth. These include: \n\n“Tech Women Ambassadors”. TEKWILL’s effort to encourage more girls and women to pursue a career in IT has spawned the “Tech Women Ambassadors” initiative. 11 women ambassadors\, with a special representation in the community and business\, committed themselves to act and support girls and women\, increasing their self-confidence\, professional skills\, and motivation for STEM education. 330 women joined the platform and over 15 meetings were organized.\n“Girls can do IT”. TEKWILL continued its dedicated campaign to inspire 10th-12th grade students to pursue a career in IT. Hundreds of girls from all over the country participated in career guidance sessions\, learned about the opportunities\, benefits and advantages of ICT work\, and met successful IT women who talked about their careers.\nWomen’s participation in TEKWILL programs reached 42.24% (approximately 17\,500 beneficiaries) of the total number of participants. As part of the #AlegCarieraIT campaign\, TEKWILL\, with the support of USAID Moldova\, Sweden\, and UN Women Moldova\, continued to promote information technology\, encouraging women to be the next IT leaders in Moldova.\n\nSupporting Community initiatives for sustainable development \nTekwill focuses its action on supporting Community initiatives\, which encourage innovative thinking\, successful collaborations\, and the use of digital tools for the good of society. \nLocal group “BEST Chisinau”. Within the project\, TEKWILL supported the local stage of the “European Best Engineering Competition” Chisinau (EBEC)\, an event organized by BEST Chisinau\, at which the student teams had the opportunity to test their software and technical skills\, busting creativity and teamwork. Among other tasks\, students had to develop ideas of alternative energy sources\, aimed to contribute to an eco-friendly environment in Chisinau. EBEC is a European engineering competition\, whose main objective is the development of students’ personal and intellectual skills. This project is developed through a pyramid structure composed of three phases: 88 local rounds\, 15 national and regional rounds\, and 1 final round\, with over 6\,500 students from 32 countries. EBEC Chisinau is the national round in which the winners of the local round in Moldova compete with each other and gain access to the final round. \nClimate LunchPad competition. The TEKWILL project has partnered with the Climate LunchPad initiative – a project that aims to accelerate innovative ideas for a low-carbon future and develop a greener economy. Climate LunchPad is Cleantech’s largest business idea competition. Its mission is to attract potential innovative technologies to Europe and to create opportunities for innovators to mitigate climate change towards sustainable development. \nNational Conference\, “Young Energy Leaders”. For many years\, TEKWILL has been the partner of Yes Europe Organization in promoting energy sustainability. Annually\, during the conference\, the community interested in energy efficiency and environmental protection policies is involved in discussions and debates on renewable energy sources\, energy future\, alternatives\, and challenges for Moldova together with representatives of local energy companies. In this sense\, TEKWILL continues to support specialists and enthusiasts dedicated to reducing pollution through smart and sustainable initiatives. \nThe “Uteach”. The initiative provides development opportunities and the necessary resources for all those interested in achieving performance in the field of information and communication technology. One of the initiatives of the first edition of the program\, aimed at applying automation in agriculture\, by developing a product for companies interested in using automatic plant cultivation technologies (Intelligent FarmBot). It is a system that aims to manage automatic planting\, online monitoring of growth processes\, identification of parasites and their removal\, but also automatic control of microclimate conditions. SUMMARY:PRIVATE COMPANIES BENEFIT FROM FINANCIAL SUPPORT UNDER THE TEKWILL PROJECT
DESCRIPTION:The ICT sector in Moldova is facing an acute crisis of skilled labor in the field. Although about 18\,000 professionals are employed in IT\, companies in the local market are in the process of recruiting. Employers are ready to enroll at least 4\,000 specialists\, a demand covered by the labor market in the proportion of one third. In order to alleviate the crisis of IT specialists in specific fields\, the TEKWILL Project\, implemented with the support of USAID and Sweden\, invests in private initiatives. Thus\, within the “Private Sector Engagement Initiatives”\, several Moldovan IT companies were accepted to generate opportunities and solutions to attract and train professionals in the field\, but also entrepreneurship\, especially at the regional level. \nAna Chirița\, TEKWILL Project Director: “Training the workforce and adapting it to current needs is a common responsibility. That is why in the TEKWILL Project we also encouraged the private sector to get involved in the development of human capital\, as they are the ones who have to face the problem directly. We are convinced that such support for the private sector will contribute to the achievement of the project’s objectives – more well-trained human resources in the field and a competitive regional market\, with local investments by IT companies.” \nPRIVATE INITIATIVES – FROM DIGITAL EDUCATION\, TO SOLUTIONS TO SUPPORT SMEs IN THE FINANCING PROCESS \nIn the first stage\, a commission of independent experts selected through competition 12 private initiatives (10 being approved at the level of donors) that will enjoy the financial support offered within the TEKWILL project. They have demonstrated that their concepts are viable\, with an impact on the market (including at regional level)\, and that they have adequate potential for the implementation team. SUMMARY:TEKWILL PROJECT EXTENDING ITS WORKPLACE TRAINING PROGRAMS AT REGIONAL LEVEL
DESCRIPTION:The IT sector offers thousands of jobs. Despite higher salaries\, a friendly workspace\, and a multitude of development opportunities\, however\, no one applies. The acute labor shortage facing the IT field and related ones is echoed nationally\, including in the major centers of the country: Balti\, Cahul or Comrat. \nOne solution found by the TEKWILL Project\, an important pillar in training the workforce adapted to current market needs\, which contributes to increasing digital skills\, including at the regional level\, is the expansion of educational programs implemented at the country level. \nThus\, in the northern and southern regions of Moldova will be carried out several projects to promote digital innovation in various sectors\, to support technological startups\, entrepreneurship education and career guidance of talented young people. In order to identify regional development opportunities and create the premises for connecting human capital with the possibilities offered by local IT companies\, ATIC conducted a regional study. \nThe research was carried out by the non-governmental organization “Investment and Sustainable Development Fund”\, with the support of the Swiss Cooperation Office within the Project “Optim – Opportunities through Technologies and Innovation in Moldova”\, implemented by Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova\, as well as with the support of USAID and Sweden\, within the TEKWILL Project. The study targeted the regions of Balti\, Cahul and Comrat. \nThe results of the study show that ICT companies\, which also have offices in the regions\, cannot progress due to a limited number of potential employees. The regional context shows that among the causes of the problem are low birth rates\, migration but also the lack of development opportunities. Research has shown that: \n\nThe share of students studying IT in regional universities varies from 2.8% in Comrat to 5.3% in Balti – a figure quite small\, taking into account that in Moldova\, on average\, in the previous year 6.3 % of young people admitted to universities studied IT and telecommunications. At the same time\, the quality of IT courses taught by local universities needs to be improved\, in order to connect young people’s skills to the needs of the market.\nIn the city of Balti\, about 300 people work in the IT sector\, while at the State University “Alecu Russo”\, 250 young people study at technical faculties. At the other pole are the Cahul and Comrat regions\, where higher education institutions need to introduce new courses in the program to fill the educational gap.\nIn the regions of the country\, including the cities of Balti\, Cahul and Comrat\, there are a small number of IT companies. In the Balti region operate 26 IT companies (188 employees)\, in Cahul – 6 companies (16 employees) and in Comrat – 8 companies (12 employees). Local employers are facing a labor shortage\, which limits their development and competitiveness. As for the training and specialization segment that is lacking\, these are: Java\, JS\, web development\, PHP\, testing\, etc.\nAt the current stage\, companies in the regions cannot rely on the professional reconversion of the workforce in non-IT fields as the extra-curricular IT courses present on the market are either completely missing or are extremely expensive compared to the financial possibilities of the population. All this prevents non-IT professionals from acquiring new skills and knowledge in the field.\n\nTEKWILL Academy comes with development opportunities for new ICT specialists \nGiven that the number of specialists and young people studying information technology or engineering subjects in the regions of Moldova is relatively small\, the TEKWILL Project aims to create new opportunities for the IT field to become more accessible and attractive. Thus\, during this year\, TEKWILL will launch several educational development programs at regional level. Among them is the “Tekwill Academy” – an educational initiative that offers courses and technical training on specific topics taught by trainers and ICT professionals in Moldova and abroad. The project will focus on training non-IT professionals and students\, strengthening the capacity of ICT professionals\, but also increasing students’ digital skills – an important segment for tomorrow’s workforce. \nRecently\, in order to consolidate the expansion of development opportunities in the regions and create the premises for connecting the talent and potential of human capital with the possibilities offered by local IT companies\, the TEKWILL Project launched the IT Scholarship Program for residents of Balti and Cahul. \nThe program provides training in web development – building\, creating\, and maintaining websites and includes design\, content publishing\, programming\, and data management. Web developers can specialize in front-end\, back-end and full-stack developers. The scholarships will cover 70% of the cost of training\, and this means more affordable education for the inhabitants of Balti and Cahul. And for teenagers and young people in Balti\, two other courses – “Graphic Design” and “Arduino” – were recently. The lessons will take place online\, and those interested will be guided by a group of dedicated mentors. The marketplace aims to incorporate an online showcase with all the necessary components for e-commerce\, logistics support\, but also a warehouse for storing products. Platform users will be able to interact via a chatbot\, ask questions and get answers directly from farmers. \nGustos.life – a page for virtual wine tastings. This is a marketplace where the taster places his wine tasting event and the participants pay for the tasting. The platform incorporates logistical support\, bottling and delivery of wine samples and a video communication tool for group conferences. Gustos.life also contains software in which participants can appreciate the tastings and come up with recommendations.\nMedical Tourism Review – a platform that presents solutions for people who need to travel abroad or other regions in order to benefit from medical services. Medical Tourism Review is a guide in which patients seek treatments across borders. They can choose a specific clinic\, a certain treatment or they can find out from the reviews that the site hosts. The platform was launched in 2016\, and since then has gathered over 100 reviews about medical institutions\, solved over 200 patient claims\, provided complete information for 300 medical packages\, and accumulated over 4\,000 registered people from 100 countries. \nRespiro.md – Respiro.md aims to find solutions for people who need the advice of a psychologist. The platform is aimed at the diaspora\, which due to barriers such as distance and not speaking the language of the country in which they live\, cannot benefit from the advice of a psychologist. So far\, 21 psychologists have registered on the platform and are ready to offer remote counseling\, and the webinars organized by Respiro.md have gathered over 800 views. For counseling and psychological help services both Romanian and Romanian-speaking people can call. \nStudii.md – a virtual education platform\, complex\, with digital content and tools for managing the educational process. On the platform users can benefit from the electronic diary\, lesson schedule\, electronic registers\, information about students and teachers\, homework\, video topics and lesson materials\, etc. Studii.md also contains an informational history from previous years of study\, and through the system\, students are informed about the educational process. The programs are implemented with the support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and Sweden\, and so far\, thanks to these investments\, the number of beneficiaries has reached 23 thousand. \nDEVELOPMENT OF THE ENTREPRENEURSHIP ECOSYSTEM \nThe TEKWILL project supports and implements programs\, which aim\, on the one hand\, to educate and increase the new workforce\, ready to meet market requirements\, and on the other hand\, to support entrepreneurship. \nIn order to encourage small business that develops innovative products and services that can help other sectors of the national economy\, TEKWILL has implemented the project “Startup Moldova”. DESCRIPTION:Some of the most recognized international study programs in the field of IT\, developed by Oracle University\, will be available free of charge to students and teachers in higher education institutions in the Republic of Moldova. The initiative aims to train the workforce needed in the field and is implemented through universities in the Republic of Moldova. Students will have access to the entire content authorized by the Oracle Workforce Development Program for the Java Fundamentals course: theoretical and practical lessons\, quizzes\, team projects\, etc. Internationally recognized\, Oracle certification confirms the acquired knowledge and skills develope\, constituting an important advantage in the process of employment and professional assertion. \nThe pilot project is part of the Tekwill Ambassadors Program\, the “Scholarships” edition\, as an initiative that brings development programs and opportunities closer to all stakeholders and provides them with the support and resources needed to achieve performance in the field of Information and Communication Technology. \nThe initiative was made possible by the collaboration between Oracle University and the National Association of ICT Companies (ATIC)\, whose goal is to ensure access to current and future ICT specialists in Moldova to the most relevant training courses and international certification opportunities.

DESCRIPTION:Girls and women in IT. More and more women are succeeding in this field\, and stereotypes about women in IT are disappearing.\nDigitization encompasses more and more areas of life\, and knowledge of programming languages is beginning to become a pressing necessity. In recent years\, there has been an increase in the number of girls and women working in the IT field worldwide\, and this\, implicitly\, has a positive effect on the economic development of the community. \nFor these reasons\, but also because they are committed to supporting girls and women to pursue a technical career\, the National Association of ICT Companies with the support of UN Women (United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment) and Sweden’s financial support under the “Empowering Women in Technology” Project launched a comprehensive IT empowerment program for women and girls.\nAt the first edition of the program\, 50 girls and women from the Republic of Moldova benefited from scholarships to study Java Fundamentals\, SQL Fundamentals or Cisco course\, after which they had the opportunity to obtain international certification. The courses were provided based on the educational programs of the world leader Oracle \, and the training included state-of-the-art technologies\, innovative learning methods and techniques with a proven impact in developing the skills and competencies required by the IT industry. \nThe scholarships offered managed to change the lives of the participants and give them the confidence to pursue their dreams. \n“Women have shown that they do as well as men in programming…” \nIrina is 24 years old and is a Junior Software Developer\, Application Development Team Lead in an international company and loves her job. But until this stage was reached\, a long path of knowledge and courage followed. The field of information technology entered her life in the 10th grade and since then go arm in arm every day. \nIrina Iurciuc\, IT specialist: “Since high school I knew that I would choose a career in IT\, in fact I am the only one of my colleagues who have embraced this field. Then\, however\, I did not realize the specifics of the sphere\, but I was inspired by some young programmers\, with whom I participated in a professional launch project. Later\, I attended the Faculty of Computers\, Informatics and Microelectronics at TUM\, and during my maternity leave I got\, through a letter of intent\, an IT scholarship for women at Tekwill. Before applying\, we analyzed several job offers to understand the requirements of employers. I chose a course in which I learned to acquire practical skills in what I knew less and to help me get a job. The SQL Fundamentals course gave me enough knowledge to be able to pass two conversations brilliantly\, during which I was tested including in the chapter studied at Tekwill\, and to be employed.” \nThe young woman says that it was easy for her to integrate into the new job\, because the stereotypes related to women and girls in IT are already a thing of the past. Over time\, women have shown that they do just as well as men in programming. \nIrina Iurciuc\, IT specialist: “Life takes on even more color when you start working. And if you work in an interesting field\, where you can develop professionally\, all you have to do is enjoy what you do. In this field\, women began to impose their positions and show beautiful results. It is important to have desire\, perseverance\, to make an effort and to be supported by those close to you. The field of information technologies is a complex one\, and the work process includes many stages\, the more you put them into practice\, the easier you understand them. In IT there is a very important term – TEAM. Here we work in a team and colleagues help each other\, here there is no competition\, ideas and initiatives are welcome\, there are no limits and there is not even a dress code. In IT\, employers do their best to make their employees feel as comfortable as possible and work as efficiently as possible. We have a lot of opportunities\, it is enough to have courage and take the first step\, later this field attracts you and it is difficult to stop.” \nIrina is convinced that IT is the profession of the future and that there will continue to be great challenges in this field. She encourages all girls and women who want a career in this field to be determined\, with well-defined goals and thus will succeed. \nAna Chirița\, Strategic Projects Director\, National Association of ICT Companies: “The purpose of this initiative is to support ladies in accelerating their IT career\, reprofiling in the IT field or simply knowing or gaining the necessary knowledge\, which could help to find a job with technical specialization. At the first edition of this program\, the beneficiaries were the ladies who really needed the skills which were taught\, and many of them were mothers with small children at home and found time to participate in the program. These scholarships gave them the chance for financial independence and the opportunity to get a better job.” \nLucreția Ciurea\, monitoring and evaluation specialist at UN Women Moldova: “Ensuring gender equality and empowering women is the basic mandate of UN Women\, as gender inequality exists in everyday life. In the labor market\, for example\, we see that jobs that are better paid are held by men. That is why we wanted to offer girls opportunities to develop in this field\, to become professionals\, specialists\, or leaders in the field of ICT\, and this program offers them the necessary opportunities to assert themselves.” \nIn June 2018\, the National Association of ICT Companies\, in collaboration with UN Women (United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment) with the financial support of Sweden\, launched a comprehensive technology empowerment initiative. The main objective of the project is to promote gender equality through information and communication technologies and to raise awareness that information and communication technologies are tools that enable gender equality and women’s empowerment and the creation of a society in which women and men can contribute and participate substantially.The project “Empowering women in technology” is implemented in partnership with the Project “Development of the Center of Excellence in ICT” funded by the United States Agency for International Development and Sweden. \n
